How CardBase works
A peer-to-peer marketplace for sports cards with Stripe payments and EU-friendly shipping.
CardBase is a European online marketplace where collectors can buy and sell sports and collectible cards directly from each other. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, and shipping options are tailored for the EU.
As a buyer
Search cards by player, set, year, or condition on the Browse page. Each listing includes live player stats.
Choose the cards you want and add them to your cart.
Payment is handled by Stripe — CardBase never stores your card details.
The seller ships the card. You can track your order status on the My Orders page.
When your package arrives, confirm delivery so the seller can receive the payout.
As a seller
Create a CardBase account on the Register page.
During seller onboarding, you connect Stripe Connect so you can receive payouts.
Define your domestic and EU shipping fees before listing cards.
Upload card photos and enter the details: player, set, year, condition, and price.
When a buyer pays, pack and ship the card, then mark it as shipped from your dashboard.
After the buyer confirms delivery, Stripe releases the payout to your bank account.
Security and trust
- Buyer confirmation: The buyer confirms delivery — the seller receives the payout immediately.
- Disputes: If there is an issue with an order, the buyer can open a dispute before confirming. CardBase can mediate between buyer and seller.
- Automatic release: If the buyer does not respond within 7 days of shipping, the payout is released automatically.
